A simple and affordable plan like this one will always catch the attention of any DIYer, and so I will also put it on my list of must-do DIY projects.
The 2x4 lumber that you need for the project will cost less than $10. And apart from timber, you will also need wood stain and some paint.
If you follow the specific dimensions on the tutorial, the plant stand will be 4.5 foot long which is enough for several planter bins. For the construction, you will get lots of pictures, but there is also a link for the complete plans.
35. Reclaimed 2x4 Wood DIY Bench
Once you determine the angles and dimension that you want on your bench, this is a super easy project. But the best part is that it will cost nothing since you will be using reclaimed wood.

This wooden bench builds around a couple of $3 pallet crates, and the entire project costs just over $40. What I like about the wood bench is that it will provide both storage space and somewhere for people to seat.
You can use the bench both indoors and outdoors, and it will be about 8-foot long. Once you cut all the pieces, it should take about 4 hours to assemble it.
Although the tutorial provides a lot of information and pictures for this 2x4 project the X design on the ends will take some extra effort to figure out.
37. DIY Porch Swing From 2x4s
There are many 2x4 wood projects that I plan to try out, but this one is my favorite. The porch swing provides a cozy place to relax after a tiring day, and it is also quite easy to make.

It should take one weekend to build this 48-inch long swing and a budget of between $50 and $100.
38. DIY 2x4s Potting Bench
If you are always getting difficulties finding somewhere to do your potting, you need to make this bench. It uses 2x4s entirely, and so it is a cheap project since they are very affordable wood pieces in most localities.
